You need toe-in. At least 1/8” - 3/8”. Or you’ll get some sweet death wobble.
of course a professional alignment is always nice. If you do; keep the numbers to see where your caster is.
Ouch!!! Dang. Glad it was not worse. Ever since my mtn bike wreck last October (40 mph cartwheel; broken sternum separated shoulder) I ride everything much slower. But the sound of a KTM twin is hard to not twist more sound from it!
well this makes me feel a heck of a lot better about my decisions to upgrade from my 990 to an 1190 (was too good a deal to pass up). i'm a big guy and was able to man handle the 990 even loaded for a trip.. and I was afraid the 1190 was too big and bulky. but after checking the weight...they...
ah... AND... that era of 80 series has somewhat oddball brakes; especially the rear. If and when you need rotors or pads, Valley Hybrid in stockton stocks them (no affiliation).
also... bump your timing 1mm. Will make a world of difference with respect to EGT's. Loosen the two 12mm nuts AND the giant 19mm bolt hidden undernearth... then twist the pump so that the top moves toward the engine block. There are hash-marks on the timing case and the pump... they should be...
on my 1996 1HDFT/h151 80 series... one small thing I added that made a huge improvement... I soundproofed the heck out of the center console/shifter console. The H151 has a rather noise transmission, and the 1HDT isn't exactly quiet... the difference was night and day.

it's dang easy to convert that to 4x4.
the 3500 HD chassis has a solid front axle. a Dodge Dana 60 will bolt right in... ask me how I know :)
I also swapped from auto to 6-speed with np241. But I agree... their asking price is too much.
Great info. Thank you.

The box truck I bought (2003 Chevy Express with 16' box) was "professionally" built by a company that builds race trailers and sprinters. It was built as a toy hauler and has some nice features like fully welded...
scrolled through most if not all of this build thread... nice work. I could not find a list of the appliances. Curious what you used for a water heater... and for a stove.
I just put a deposit down on a 2003 chevy box truck that was built as a race truck. Lots of cool stuff... loft bed that...
