Toy Hauler
Tiny Home
Base Camp
2003 Chevrolet Express 3500 Cutaway (Box truck) Converted by RB Components.
only 37k miles.
PRICE DROP $22k
This is a great rig for living in and transporting all your toys. It was professionally built by RB Components in Southern California. The fit and finish of the interior is second to none.
The beauty of this set-up is the ability to safely transport/store all your toys (currently have a KTM motorcycle, three mountain bikes, all my kite-board gear, clothes, food, etc), room to sleep 2-4 adults and a few kids, and still have enough room to host a small cocktail party.
Two couches. Both fold into twin beds. One has seatbelts to hold three passengers. The other folds up completely to provide open floor.
Built in shower. Built in stainless counters and sink. Lots of storage space.
Bed is custom built; height can be changed fairly easy.
Dometic CFX-95DZUS Dual Zone Portable Electric Refrigerator/Freezer 90 Quarts
200 watts of PV feeding 4 deep cycle batteries
Propane furnace.
Heavy duty solar controller with ability to charge via shore power.
Previous owner included a portable cassette toilet; not my style but probably good for emergencies.
New stereo with bluetooth and ability to run when car is off.
The good:
Low mileage truck.
Bullet proof drivetrain: 6.0 LS motor, 4L80E, Dana 70 HD.
Acceptable mileage (12-14mpg)
New tires.
Very cleanly built interior for both living in and transporting gear.
Low profile exterior doesn’t attract attention
Easy to drive.
Can fit a couple motos, or many many mtn bikes, kite gear, etc etc... and still have room to walk around inside.
The bad:
No water heater for shower.
The Ugly:
Paint is peeling off the hood.
Truck is located in Palo Alto, CA
