I had the same debate with myself several years ago and found the 5.5 bed on my F150 lost out I ended up getting a crew cab F250 because I liked the 4 doors and had the 6.5 ft bed but was too much to deal with as a daily driver. I down sized to a Ford ranger extended cab with 4 doors and the 6...
I gotta say your rig is almost exactly what I'm looking to build I have had 2 rangers in the past and loved them both. Just sold my F250 crew cab realized it was just too big for what I want so I'm looking for another ranger again. Nice job on the truck.
I have a 1997 crew cab short bed for sale. I bought it as a base for building an overlanding vehicle but have decided to go in a different direction. The truck is 4 wheel drive with an automatic transmission and the 7.3 powerstroke diesel. I truck is an old ranch truck from New Mexico so it...
I have had a 4 door ranger extra cab and a f150 super crew and now have a 2 door ranger extra cab and I miss the ease of accessing the rear of the cab so much you can't believe. Even if you don't go crew cab make sure you have the 4 door extended cab. Trust Me.

I have owned a DRZ 400 for about 6 years now mine is 2002 the thing has been bullet proof and you will much prefer the electric start to a kick only. I have an aftermarket gas tank that hold 4 gal and I ride to work most days and ride offroad on the weekends. It will do the trails with...
You don't need to even cover the canoe decks. There are air bags out there to fill the space in the canoe. White water canoe guys use them. Basically it is just a big ballon that fills up the unused space in the canoe so you can't get swamped. Check out a white water supply company.
Here is mine. New to me 2001 Ford F150 super crew 4X4 bone stock for now am planing on upgrading to a daily driver and camping rig as funds allow
