It may be a stupid question, but what is the center differential? I'm aware of front and rear differentials and transfer cases, but the reference to a center differential has always confused me. Is it just the differential on the front axle?

I would seriously consider sending the injectors off to be cleaned. Did wonders for my truck after a rebuild. I will probably clean them every timing belt replacement for preventative maintenance.

I can attest to this at least for the 3.5L, you do not need to pull the injectors for timing. You do need to pull the plenum to change the spark plugs, which gives you good access to the injectors. Maybe he was thinking that you should change the plugs when you do the timing belt service...

As far as torque, I've used it to check oxygen sensor voltage and fuel trims as well. It will even do coolant temp.

Update to wrap up the thread in case someone is researching issues. Problem turned out to be 3 clogged injectors. Sent all 6 to cruzinperformance.com to be cleaned and now the truck runs as good as new!

Cleaning the injectors did the trick! Truck runs great. I didn't even use the new injector. All 6 old ones are in and truck purrs like a kitten!

Update so far. I shipped all my old injectors to Cruzin. They all passed the resistance and leak down tests. Three failed the spray pattern test. One flowed at have the pulsed volume and two others weren't as bad, but weak. After a few runs through the cleaner, all injectors tested within 6%...
