I went back and read the original ad. It’s said it was replaced with a remanufactured engine with 40,000 miles on it and installed at a Toyota dealer. This isn’t the same as saying it had a new engine from Toyota put in it. Interested parties might want some clarity there.

Picked up a truck today. '88 base model 4cyl, 5 speed...and so it begins. I know the 22RTE doesn't get much love, but are there any solid builds of this engine documented on the 'net?
