Well that's a bummer. I am looking for a "budget" auxiliary tank option and there is quit a bit of room between the rockers and the frame. Those saddle tanks would have been perfect.

So the floor on burb being flat precludes the 25 gallon tanks from fitting?

I have been driving a front wheel drive version around for the past 6 months and it is very practical. The fuel mileage is much better then an AWD version but the transmission tends to lurch a bit from a start. The high center of gravity rocks it off its front tires and the inside tire starts...

I disagree as well. I can't think of any time I have been even close to getting a rock close to the fenders there. If I did then the rock would be it my lap next. Hopefully I would realize long before it got to that point that I picked the wrong line. Is it impossible? No. Worth the slight...

Ghetto was what came to my mind as well. That thing would handle worse then a donk. That much weight behind the rear axle with such a short wheelbase is just asking for an accident.
