    New Guy Trailer Build Thread

Frustrating. I'll look into it. Thanks. I've got plans to do another trailer and would love to document that build too. This one might be for sale too. ;)

Anybody know why my pictures no longer work? I've made the album public and still no luck. It's fun looking back at the build every once in a while. Any tips?

    New Guy Trailer Build Thread

Back from the days of lurking since nothing else has been done with the trailer other then using. I got another Jeep earlier this year that I'd like to do a 4-5 day trip through the Nebraska canyon areas with it. With it being the stock 4.0L, fuel expense should be a lot nicer. Don't pay...

Sorry I haven't logged on for a while. I actually built it a couple years ago and was thinking about building more as a side income. I guess for the right price I would sell mine too if interested. :p I just got the tubing at a local steel company. It is 1-1/2" .120 wall. If you haven't seen...

A Week of Remote Byways and Backroads of the Nebraska Sandhills

First off, great thread and thanks for taking the time to share with us. I have done some camping on private land next to the Dismal River off of Highway 83. It is truly a hidden gem in Nebraska and fortunately something that I get to do again the second week in October.

A Week of Remote Byways and Backroads of the Nebraska Sandhills

If you are close, Lake McConaughy is allowing open riding on the beach for the first time in almost 20 years. Edit to add to another post. Lake McConaughy does not allow ATVs/UTVs on any other weekend then what I posted. It is a great place to go though with any 4x4, and you can camp any...

So far two more successful trips with the trailer this year. Here is a picture from the first.... and the last one.... Team effort. :p Being from Nebraska not too many people have seen the RTT's. They always lead to some good conversation and I actually had two guys take my number for...

Cool build. It kind of reminds me of mine with the way you did your axle and suspension. I'll be sure to keep an eye on this thread. :)

    For RTT users....extreme cold?

Like others have mentioned, good sleeping gear and layers were the key for me keeping warm when sleeping in mid 20s weather. Now that I bought a Mr. Heater Buddy I'd like to get out again to see how it does. From research on here I've read that they are great to use because of the low oxygen...

    Tepui Tent Ladder Problems

How old is the tent? When I bought mine in July it came with the old style ladder that they had had problems with. They sent me the new style for no charge soon after. I'd just call them to discuss it and I'm sure like me and many others experience with them, they will make it right.

    RTT recomendations?

+1 I love mine and have zero complaints about it.

Yep and thanks. It is pretty amazing how much heavier the material is that they use on the trucks back then. Comparing that to say the hood of my Dodge, it's like comparing a soup can to a pop can. Haha

    New Guy Trailer Build Thread

Thanks and yep :) Sorry, lol. I posted it in the Jeep subforum and had a lot of interest in there too. It's been a couple of years since I bought it, but I'm slowly pecking away on getting it done now. Plans are to either put the SBC stroker motor and custom built 904 transmission from my CJ...

    New Guy Trailer Build Thread

:sombrero: I honestly had no idea what I was doing at the start and wanted a base frame to start off with. It was a great price too, and I did like the box sides it came with. Looking back now it is a no brainer to build the next one from scratch. Seeing how a few others have done theirs, I've...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Yeah I think it would be wise to not bother approaching him. Just send him a letter instead. :p @Ageless Stranger. Sweet pictures. I was finally able to rim last year....at night. Having done it two other times during the day as a passenger, I can't determine if it was best not being able to...

If they owner is willing to sell for a decent price, I'm sure it could be sold real fast. I know of a FC170 DRW at a salvage yard about an hour south of me that is basically rusted into the ground. The yard owner wanted 2k. At that price it is going to sit in the same spot for another 20 years.
