The pieces are coming together. First test fitting the bumper. Tacking in some new shackle mounts. Final alignment of body panels. Skid plate finalized before paint. Also we changed the profile of the lower bar as it was a bit odd looking. Last time she will ever look like this...

Thanks for the heads up on the coopers.. I'm not sure they carry a 285/75r17? Ok, hear is the dreamer in me, I know I was thinking A/T's But lately I'm really digging the pizza cutter look. I like the fact that the contact patch will be narrower, but sadly in the 255/80r17 size that I was...

My extremely slow 2001 Tundra build thread

The top portion of the grill would fit in your hood but then you would have to buy the lower filler piece just under the head lights and grill plus all the brackets to convert it to an early model setup. In 04 the grill goes right to the bumper with no filler under the grill.. I believe.

I love the look of MT's but AT's is where I will be going. I do like the look and I've heard good things about the Toyo Open Country AT2 (thanks for the suggestion). Something about the KM2's makes me want them, But I think a bit over kill for me.

Any tire recommendations to go with that size? Yes that is wet POR-15 on the top. And no I will not be getting rid of my IFS for a number of reasons. I've included a picture with the proper orientation of my right outer frame rail. I've marked where most of the damage was. As for adding more...

Back to stock... Kind of Assembly time! I was able to find a Junk hood and Bumper for the mean time, The hood has some massive dents and horrible body filler over the paint. But it will due for now, I'm still looking for a hood right fender and some front end bits. But this setup will due...

Finally Welded Some minor tweaks to my rails. My right and left rails are looking better. Re attaching the left apron. And then POR-15. As for the end of the frame rails I cut them off as I will have new mounting plates built for my new bumper.. And the other ones were bent to hell...
