Hello folks.
I should have spent more time lurking but after years without a camper or anything, Im ready to buy something for my 8' 1997 truck bed..
Does anyone make a fiberglass pop-up? I like how leer topper caps clamp to the bed edge, and hoping I can find something like that but with a...
I found a trailer builder who will build me a narrow track 7x16 overland toy hauler which will be loaded to the gills. I want the wheels completely underneath the trailer with wheel wells and was thinking leaf springs, but what else is available for dual axle trailers? I'd like to have...
I noticed the ibex toyhauler and nobo toyhauler were practically the same at 7x21. Both had the curt independent trailer suspension. The Ember uses it as well.
Does anyone own a trailer with this suspension? Or any comments if you've compared it to others?
Thanks
Finally, someone who gets it.
But I wouldn't say it's not hard to reframe a open wheel 7x16 to wheel wells because you have to cut the main frame members. Doable, yes. It's either that, or drive days for a old Pace...
Thread resurrection, because Ive been looking for a narrow track enclosed trailer to build my overland toyhauler for quite a while.
Why cant Elkhart build a narrow track, 6 to 7' wide enclosed trailer for every poor overlander who wants to outfit the trailer himself? btw narrow track means no...
I'm no expert on this, but have researched running truck rims on a trailer allot, and should have copied the quotes Ive found.. But the sentiment remains in my mind that at least three others (reported) have had bearing failures because of to much offset. To much offset tries to twist the...
You, and I think one other person mentioned adapters..
If your running truck or jeep rims with more than 1/2" of positive offset, I hope your running adapters or spacers to achieve 0 or no more than 1/2" of positive offset because trailer hub bearings, at least dexter, are not designed for...
I'm not sure where I read more than once that this was a advantage, but Ive had this idea stuck in my head but wonder if I'm getting carried away or how much merit it has..
To the folks who are actually running the same wheels on your vehicle on your trailer too.. Did you do it so that you...
So what your saying is you installed a custom Jeep axle instead of a trailer axle?
Do What? Ive asked you questions that you apparently like to ignore.
Who built your axle? What makes it custom and what tires do you run?
Thanks
I would if michelin offered the rib in a 17" tire. The only michelin 265/70/17's are AT or AS that I can find. Yes I did change my mind, or considering spacers with 17" rims
And this brings be back to another...
