Id love to. But I cant afford him and a 1996 isnt worthy.
His work is amazing..
So I just learned the D70 from a DRW E350 were " The 72" DRW/SRW cutaway diffs are one and the same"
wow, I have wasted so much time looking for the SRW it's pathetic.
Yeah no.. Im talking about ford's passenger side offset drive line.. And how high of a lift it requires to allow enough pumpkin to gas tank clearance for a centered axle.. Like the sterling truck axle..
Im just trying to make a parts list of what I need to convert my 95 E350 to 4x4...
Quick question about the sterling axle..
I think the sterling truck axles are centered diffs unlike the offset Econoline van's. 2" offset.
Is it possible to use a centered axle due to the lift kit moving the axle/drive-shaft away from the gas tank? And bonus question.. How high of a lift is...
I'm on my own lately.. All of my trips to Colorado were solo and its hard to tell if that will change.
I think I will end up needing to build this trailer as no one builds what I'm looking for.
Simply, a small lifted cargo trailer with tip out bunks. Outfitted with a separate tent which...
Yeah sorry 96" would be crazy wide at the same length! Must have been thinking 69.. yeah..
I guess what I'm looking for is a trailer that has wheel wells on the interior, as I just didn't understand the advantage of them hanging out.
Maybe I should find another E350 and turn it into the...
I need a smaller 8' trailer to replace my 24' featherlite sadly. 96" wide please?
Iv learned over the last few years there are so many beautiful boondock sites I can't get to due to the ground clearance and turn around space issues of a 24' TH in Colorado.. Sadly the 4" lift I gave my...
Do you or anyone have recommendations how to find them? car-part.com does not specify which axle. Only choice between 9.75 or 10.5 which doesn't help find it.
You have the D70u also, which isn't much of a upgrade.
car-parts.com lists a D70-2U
I'm looking for a SRW Dana 70 full float rear axle assembly from a 1992-2007 ford E350 van. No dually's.. 3.73 ratio
Dana 70's were installed in the extended passenger vans, but were also in some of the cargo/box vans from what Iv read.
Thanks
Finder fee negotiable.
I finally got the engine running with no issues so far.. Definitely runs stronger and its not even broken in.
Its been over one year since it started "blowing white smoke!!" I crack up on how urgent my wife made the first post sound.:ylsmoke: Shes gone, but the cummins van will remain...
Thanks Titanpat. I paged through your build and I'm impressed. Nice work!
How do you make a water tight connection from the trailer to tent?
It seems to me, I would have enough patients setting up my sleeping tent. But I wouldn't want to set up a bathroom, nor want to worry about a gust off...
Definitely! What brand do you have, or which should I consider?
Another problem I'm seeing is most small cargo trailers don't utilize the foot print with wheels that stick out needing fenders. I'm not seeing any 10'-12' cargo's with inside wheel wells like my 8'6" wide featherlite..
I own a 24' featherlite toy-hauler but would like to down size for more remote locations..
What I'm looking for is a small hard side camper which only contains the toilet, shower and kitchen.. Then a attached tent would be for sleeping living..
Does something like that exist?
Damn.. Sweet!
I need to insulate the inside of the engine tunnel my E350's dog house mates with.. What type of sound/heat insulation would be the best in your opinion?
