    Roof Top Tents

Thanks, We have had it for almost a year now and used it about 17 times so far. The weight as per it standing on the bathroom scale sideways was 132lbs. This is with the aluminum T-channel and T bolts that now come attached to the floor for easy mounting. The poles are still fiberglass but I do...

    Roof Top Tents

Sleeoffroad is where I purchased my Technitop from. Christo is the person I dealt with and I was very impressed with the service. The tent came nicely packaged, no dings, scratchs, or parts missing etc. He and I had talked on the phone a few times with all my questions ansewered and he catered...

    Color for drinking water container?

Wondering what color for drinking water storage container is recomended. If you go light color or clear is it bad with the sun. If you go dark like black or green army style, can you see if the mold is starting to grow. I hear aluminum and stainless need to be food grade or coated because they...

    Dogs and rooftop tents

No problems with skunks. I have had a couple of racoons once. We were camping with my wifes parents in a park camp ground. As much as I hate the graveled flat, golf cart wood seller, optional area for full hook up, type of camping, we did it anyway to do some wine tours in the area. The camp has...

    Dogs and rooftop tents

I have a RTT with the shower/change room hanging off the bottom when flipped open. My dog likes to sleep in his own bed in the change area. Nice big dog pillow and a yellow sleeping pad doubled up under it. I usally setup his bed area as soon as I do ours early in the day. He also has a old...

    4th Gen 4Runner options ...

Nice setups you guys have. I poke around the Toyota stuff from time to time. My wife has a 1991 4runner so it has a draw to me. She is wanting an FJ in the next couple years and I couldn't agree more about the purchase. Does anyone know what this guy (Joel) uses for a camera setup? the video...

    Source for ball-bearing drawer-runners?

This is the company I went with for my rear deck drawers. http://www.accuride.com/products/industrial/category.php The old contractor guy I worked with had slide out drawers on the work truck both sides, with a heavy duty generator mounted in the drawer. We would just pull up slide the...

Safari Quality Chairs, Table and Basin?

One of my friends brought this comfy chair out camping this summer. Man this thing rocks. It is padded and cradles you like a baby. She is going to find out were her brother bought it for her. Maybe I'll get a couple. It is very strong and folds up. Their little girl was climbing all over it and...

    In-cab cold water delivery system

In my teen days a couple of us chipped in and bought an old Pontiac to cruise around for summer. We cut the top off the car for the convertable look and in the glove box we stuck a moveable kitchen sink faucet that swung out. In the trunk we put a small tank that someones mom would not miss and...

The rack I built my self. I had a design in my head over a period of a year and figured out just where I wanted everything. It' s still not complete as I want lights mounted under the front space for the backroad night travels and I have a few more things I want to add to it. It definitly is a...

Nice platform to start from on the K5. Parts are every where for them. Fullsize all the way is the shnizzel. Except when it comes to women. 33" tires are pretty good in size. The cost is kept down on lift, roll over height is lower, plus 33's are cheeper. A savings.

Very nice trip you had! I wish I would have joined this site earlier and found your post. I would have met you some where around the area you were in. My wife and I travel around that area quite a bit. My wife's parents have a cabin at Gun lake, very close to Carpenter lake. The Hurley road...

    Bolt on wheel spacers.

Thanks everyone for the replys. Should I worry about wheel spacers with the little hub flange sticking out for the rim to have some center support (like this: http://www.rockcrawler.com/techreports/spidertrax_spacers/index.asp ) or let the lug nuts center the wheel and the bolts support the weight?

    Bolt on wheel spacers.

Wondering if anyone has info if they are good or bad to use. I want to get my rear track width the same as the front. I have a fullsize Dodge Ramcharger and the rear measures 3" narrower than the front. So the tires sit 1.5" in per side. I was thinking of pushing the rear track width out. I...
