Any recommendations for a small fridge that will fit where my cubby box is between the two front seats in my 1991 200tdi Land rover defender 90?
During a recent trip to Botswana saw someone who had a nice looking one but forgot the make
yeh I could do - you can also use a Range Rover header cap with the built in float switch. I’ve got a wiring diagram to set it all up. I just can’t be bothered! Really want a nice and easy out of the box unit. Something that looks smart and is more reliable than my average electrical skills.

tbh I really just wanted the coolant level alarm. The had a nice looking float switch you could put in below the header tank. I’ve got mechanical gauges for the rest.
I've heard many good things about this product - Little Black Box EMS IV

Fancy one or similar for my 1991 200tdi defender 90.
Problem is I can't find them anywhere, emailed the company a few times but no reply. The UK distributors...
Just get something simple mate, replace whats worn and save your money for doing awesome stuff whilst your away.
The 200/300tdi engines are beautifully simple and will go on forever. You're in the UK so you should be able to find a decent one. The TD5 pulls a bit more but has more electrics...
National luna with two odyssey batteries is the set up I use. To be honest all these kits are horrifically over priced. You can make your own for a fraction of the cost and you'll learn loads.

Oh and if you were doing one modification I'd put an aux fuel tank instead of carrying Jerry cans. Most of Europe doesn't like fuel containers over 10l
What a wonderful trip. Good on you. The first overland guys inspired me to get my first land rover so I'll be following this with great interest.
You have a few political hot spots to avoid - not to mention the associated ripples of chaos that bleed into neighbouring countries - what is your...
Looks like a 300tdi to me. Millage is good, if that was in the UK you'd expect double.
The body work looks tidy but the only thing that matters is what the chassis is like and you won't know that till you've got underneath and poked around. With a screw driver.... and a hammer... a big hammer...
I'd go Scarpa. I've had my SL M3s for 10 years and they're still going strong. Not a fan of the new model SLs. I personally prefer leather over synthetic membranes.
Price is an improvement on $430. They would be difficult to wash. If your at home with a pressure washer no worries but if your on a trip, then having to clean them every evening with a bottle of water and a bit of cloth on the end of a coat hanger would get old pretty quickly. I also think the...
Well your right, they're not for me because I drive an old 200tdi defender 90, which I have been fortunate enough to have taken all over the world - she's just got back with more dents than I care to mention and don't think your products would suit her 'style', if you can call it that. Not to...
