Removable, light weight bug screen for truck cap.

Do you have any pics of your inside of the camper. I have an aluminum ARE DCU camper that I have wooden framed screens screwed into the side of the aluminum frame of the camper. Sounds like you have a fiberglass cap that attaching might be done by Velcro. I can try to get some pics of my setup...

Looking for tips on locking ARE DCU door from inside

I drilled 2-1/4" holes and put a ubolt through the flat latching part and sandwiched it between two pieces of wood. Works pretty well. I really like your lock around the outside handle to stop any shenanigans.

    Futon in truck bed

I'm not sure if mine is anything like you would like but I use a futon mattress in my set up. Mine does slide off the truck since I use it for other purposes. The little camper off the truck is also a nice spare bedroom/man cave...

$30 4 gallon shower idea for small campers and trailers

Yea, I've seen the large tank designs on here. I just like to generate ideas when I get one for others to think about and improve on for their situation. I actually have a 25 gallon 4" PVC pipe setup on the roof of my camper with a 3.3 gpm 12v HF pump and water hose sprayer head that cost me...

$30 4 gallon shower idea for small campers and trailers

I was thinking with the big arm pump and low price this would be a good idea for a shower for people with small campers and trailers. All you would need is a little shelf to mount it on so when you pumped it the tank would emit fall. Cut the sprayer end off and hook a shower head onto the end...

    Water sources

City parks always seem to have hose bibs around. You may want to pick up a water key from home depot since some places might have the ones that use a water key to keep kids from wasting water.

    Small camper storage tote bathtub

The hula hoop is a great idea. I like dual purpose items. That would be great for late night fun also.

    Homemade Air Conditioner

But if you have power to freeze ice you have power to run a A/C. I checked into it and it is just as effective on cooling as a fan and misting system.

    Small camper storage tote bathtub

Just to make it clear. I will not be filling the tote with 50 gallons of water. Probably more like 2 gallons that I will mainly rinse soap off kind of like a shower. The tote will mainly just be a place to catch the water. And the lid looks like it will make a pretty good little drying off area...

    Small Camper Retractable Awning Idea

I was trying to figure out how to add a small retractable awning to my small camper and ran across some old projector screens. I looked into it and found some 7 foot by 5 to 6 foot on Craigslist selling for $25-$40. They look pretty sturdy and was wondering if anyone has tried this idea.

    Small camper storage tote bathtub

The tote is a 50 gallon tote, I don't fill my bathtub at the house to the top and then try to get in, so I figured I would warm a pot of water on my gas cooking stove and mix it with around a gallon of water and sit in the tub and wash that way.

    Small camper storage tote bathtub

I have a small slide in camper that I built and really was trying to come up with a way to wash up. In nice warm weather I have a shower enclosure set up to shower outside in the wonderful sun. But when it is cold outside we needed somewhere warm to wash up. We had been doing the wipes way in...

    Homemade Air Conditioner

Good point Lynn. I wonder if having the heat exchanger not in direct contact with the dry ice would help with the freezing problem. I've never actually messed with dry ice so not to familiar with its characteristics. I've read keeping it wrapped in newspaper or rags help it regulate cooling. Or...

    Homemade Air Conditioner

Having that much extra ice to keep you cool for any extended period of time would be a problem. Dry ice might be a replacement idea but you would have the carbon dioxide problem. But if you set up two heat exchangers with a couple of automotive heat coils and some flexible hose and a circulating...

New here and building a multi use trailer....

Have you worked on this idea any more. I built a slide in for my truck out of a DCU camper/topper and plan on building a trailer for it to slide onto eventually.

Yea, I would hope so, but hopefully Ive already figured everything out on my own. Now just have to wait on the missing part and other parts I ordered and hope the info I was able to find is correct.

    Unhappy with Currie Enterprise.

Just wanted to throw this out there, if you decide you might want to purchase parts from currie you might want to send them a few Emails looking for information and see if they respond to you. I have made the mistake of building a hi pinion 9 axle and have been trying to get info from them for...
