Have a nearly-new AluCab Contour Canopy for 3rd gen Tacoma. Installed in late September, ended up selling my truck last week and removed it presale. In great shape, garage kept and truck was not used much during the time when the cap was actually on. OK4WD can confirm fitment on any other...
I fit into my 8' garage doors with my 3rd gen Taco with lift and tires - not a lot of room to spare though. Not sure if the newer campers are taller than older ones though - mine was installed late 2019.
Add me to the list of those with racks up front. Agreed that it cut down on general wind noise and resistance too, although I do need to adjust the mini fairing a bit. So nice to have my recovery boards on there vs strapped to the top of the camper, got plenty of use out of them this past year...
Regardless of what the camper/tent/etc have, I always end up adding a fan to my sleeping setup (even in hotels) so it was a wash. I use a Ridgid battery powered fan and charge the battery up while driving, and it really makes a huge difference. Probably had around 15 nights this summer where...
Does anyone know what size bolt slides into the T-slot on the roof of the canopy campers? I know the interior bolt sizes are 5/16", but I believe they are too small for the roof
I have the zippered pockets that came on the door up on the underside of the platform (since I now have GP factor tables and molle panels on door), as well as some pouches from BROG. Super convenient for storing toiletries, some kitchen gear, and quick grab things like headlamps. For mid-length...
Plenty of nights in the rain including a few with sideways rain - interior is always bone dry. Once I had time to seal the camper post-install, I've only had water come in once while driving, and that was a small trickle that happened while we drove interstates during a hurricane. Water was...
Yep just about 24" for the cushion. I went this route for a bench top, I ran the plywood straight to the side rails and the cushion fits great. Post #302
I've got an AluCab canopy camper and elected to put my fridge in the backseat (driver side on the folded down seat). If its outdoor cooking weather (which is extended by an awning), I tend to cook near the driver bedside, so really not a lot of moving back and forth. In the event I need to...
What fire pit do you have? We looked at some prior to our trip for the same reason but didn't find one in time (or one that would fit with 4 weeks of gear). Still want to have one for the convenience factor.
Sounds like a great time to be heading that way! We did a lot of no-cook dinners since it was so hot for most of the trip (including takeout), so we only went through around 5lbs of propane on the trip. I believe we averaged about 1.5 gallons of water a day, although I would plan for 2 gallons a...
Just returned from 4 weeks on the road across the US, largely staying out on the west coast. We stayed a total of 23 nights in the canopy camper, and I don't think there could have been a better way to enjoy the trip. Effortless performance by the truck + camper along all of the highway hauls...
Thanks! Not sure how tall your kid is, but my wife is 5'1" and can almost lay out on the bench (probably need to be around 4'6" or shorter to do so 100%).
Nearly done with the interior build! Our fridge will go against the driverside bulkhead, and I need to whip up a shelf for the driverside rear area. My wife and I don't use the small portion of the mattress when sleeping, so I sized the bench to fit it - now we can lounge on it or use it as a...
I have a used Alu-Cab tilting fridge slide that I used in my JKU for an ARB 50qt fridge, and switched setups and do not need the slide in my camper. Some light wear/scratches on it from being used, but functions perfectly. Happy to send pics along if you are interested.

Brilliant idea with that garage flooring! May have to steal that...
What size bolts did you end up sending down through the truck bed for the fridge? Getting ready to do that in my camper, although in a different spot.
Half the reason my wife green-lighted the move from a JKU with a roof top tent to our Tacoma with the canopy camper is just for the access to the toilet -- you can access the downstairs/toilet easily at night. She is 5'1" and I'm 5'9" (on a good day at least) and we can comfortably sleep with...
