    Jack suggestions and recommendations

I've had to use the hi lift to raise my truck high enough to get the bottle jack under the axle. You may be able to dig to get enough room depending on terrain. I got to see the ARB jack in use on the rubicon. I used to think they were way too expensive but I'm getting older. It may be time...

    Making my Jeep smaller?

I have a 2004 TJ with a 4.5" lift and 35s. Very capable rock crawler but overlanding? I'll take my truck and popup camper over that Jeep anyday.

    Carb at high elevation

Very easy to change the jets on my Solex. It's just the gas that leaks out onto the manifold thats a bit disconcerting!

Solid state batteries will make electric expedition vehicles practical.

Does anyone run induction cooking outdoors? Since I cook outdoors 90% of the time I can't justify the expense for induction cooking. Generally I boil water for coffee and not much else inside my camper.

DC-DC charger as an alternative to generator?

Not sure why you'd use it instead of solar unless you're constantly one the move. Mine gets used only when the solar isn't cutting it which is rare. Nice to have as a backup charging source though.

    First aid kit

I have removed items from my kit that I am no longer qualified to use. I also just updated my kits. I am ashamed to say how old some of my stuff was when I dumped out my trauma kit. Modern versions of many items are so much better. New easier to use and more effective tourniquets are now in my...

    A Few Auxiliary Battery Questions

I purchased one of the used lithiums Will tested and I've been very pleased with its performance. I love that I don't have to treat it gently like I did my AGM's. I got eight years out of my AGM's but I had to do a lot of research to find out how to charge them. Kept a close eye on them all the...

I doubt I'd even bother to listen to them when I visit. Nothing against wolves but its the geology of the park that has the greatest draw for me.

Surprised no one is discussing the Cybertruck today.

I'm one hundred percent sure my Jeep will never see one on the trail. Unless its being towed :)
