2016 Ford E350 4x4 Quigley Van. Only 17000 miles. 3.7 liter V-6, 6 speed auto. This van has tons of possibilities

Seems kinda over priced, for just an empty van, at $47,000

After looking at everything available on the market I really hate to say it, but this is the best modern van platform available right now. The Quigley conversion is about a $20k nut, so this price seems fair. In terms of maintenance and reliability these have Sprinter beat hands down, and the RAM platform has zero ground clearance and no 4x4 option. Here's another for comparison.

I think the GM and Nissan vans can just as good if not better platforms depending on your needs. The GM vans seems like they have more lift options and likely more wheel travel available. The transit unibody construction just doesn't allow for much wheel travel. Nissan and GM vans both have tow ratings that exceed the transit by 2,000lbs.

Yow! Didn't know their price had gotten that high (but haven't checked 4x4 convo prices in several years).
Thanks for posting the info.

BTW, with regards to the full size Transit vs. other makes.....the Transit has pretty questionable ground clearance [rear shock mounts are very low] and also has a rather long wheelbase for using it as a 4WD rig.

It always gets back to the one simple truth about shopping for campers.....nobody makes a drive off of the lot, all around perfect rig!

I've talked to the guy. I'm only 3 hours away. He told me it had a 3.7. It says Ecoboost on the back. A Quigley conversion is not $20k. They are $13,500.

Way overpriced.

I have to agree that these transit vans with Quigley are sadly the best option right now. The ease of maintenance can't be beat, compared to the troubled Sprinter vans

Seems like quite a bit of work went into it though. Not sure what his deal is, but he might be a professional that's also trying to pay his mortgage with the labor he put into it. I'm sure one could recreate it for less, but that's the case with most things.

I've had an e350 4x4 and currently have a Quigley Transit with ecoboost. I can tell you there is no comparison. It is as fast as a 6.0 or 7.3 power stroke and way faster than a 5.4, with no drama. Quiet and gets an honest 15-16mpg. The Transit is superior in every way except the fact that you can't lift it 6". Drive one. You will see. Is it worth $47k? Thats up to you to decide. If you want a brand new one, prepare to fork out $55-60k for a similar one and you may have to wait 6 months. You can no longer get Quigley to convert your used one.
