Or at least all that I do :)

First of all, my apologies for my first post being in the for sale section. I have been browsing this website for almost a year now and have learned so much. I've learned alot from the portal and look forward to contributing in the future.

Now for the add, here goes:

Reason for sale is that I need more passenger room. It pains me to give up such a good friend that I have put so much time, money, blood, sweat and tears into. I have my heart set on an 100 series land cruiser. So am open to trades for the later.

2001 Toyota Tacoma V6 xtracab 4wd

I have quite the pile of service records, all maintenance and upgrades that I have undertaken I have records for. I also have many records from the previous owner, although not all. I bought the truck with 73xxx miles on it from Phoenix, Arizona (not a spec of rust). It is in Washington state now and has 94xxx miles All manual windows and locks, as well as a manual transfer case shifter for reliability purposes. I looked for a long time to find a one family owned, low mileage, well maintained truck with manual windows and locks from a sunny state. This was the one.

All mods everything was done for a purpose and to maintain the toyota reliability. I would drive the truck anywhere.

Excuse the long following list, I just want anyone interested to know how much love, care and attention has gone into this truck:

OEM toyota parts replaced:
- transmission mount (the old one was loosening and the rubber seemed like it was showing signs of age)
- front oxygen sensor (figured it was a good thing around 90k)
- spark plugs and wires
- two CV assemblies. One OE toyota, the other a NAPA part (the contruction seemed ok and I was far from a toyota dealership)
-throttle position sensor (figured it was a good thing around 90k)
-fuel filter (same as above)
-front light bulbs.
-latch for rear extended cab windows
-hood visor

Maintenance items:
- oil changed at 3000 miles or less (with filter)
- Timing belt/waterpump done at purchase by toyota avondale, phoenix (73xxx)
- Full fluid change under 3k miles ago (clutch, diffs, transfer case, transmission) (also changed at 73k)
- Brake pads are 80% all around, bled both brakes under 2000miles ago
-Alignment done after new suspension install and 3k ago.
- both CV assemblies replaced
-air filter every 3 to 6 months.
-seat covers have been on since the day i bought it.
-fully cleaned battery contacts when new battery installed (under 3k ago)
-dash rattle fixed as per the factory toyota TSB with recommended 3M materials
-rejuvenate headlights to keep them nice and clear.
-Greased drive-line every 2000miles.

Upgrades and modifications:

-OME suspension all around (dakar leafs and OME shackles, 881 coils up front with comfort shocks all around) (under 10000miles)

- 16 "American Racing Teflon Mojave wheels (factory spec backspacing and offset).

- 265/75/16 Goodrich All-terrain tires (under 6000miles on them)

-Timbren heavy duty bumpstops front and back

-Optima Red top battery (under 2000miles)

-Sky Mfg. Axle relocation plate for rear axle

-new u bolts and nuts with suspension install

-undercoating when purchased. Frame is mint. Arizona truck. Washed religiously since. Coated inside of frame with Fluid Film to ensure as best protection as possible.

-Rhino lining in bed of truck as well as on rocker panels and fender flares (Great for gravel roads and no more fading of flares in the sun)

-Leer canopy with adventure package (windoors and vents, removable front window, single handle rear latch, thule bars and track system, carpet interior and gear net on celing). Professionaly wired back light, with indoor lights wired also.

-weathetech floormats front and rear (best fit i've found)

That's all that I can think of. Like I say, the truck works amazingly. Here are the few quirks so there are no surprises:

-passenger side door latch is stiff. It has been like that since i purchased the truck, haven't looked into it further. It hasnt been a big deal for me.

-a belt has made a slight squeal on start up in the cold temperatures just this winter. I can look into it if you like, although it has been very occasional.

-one of the far right dash lights must have not have been connected when I went through the dash removal to fix the dash rattle. Nothing else was affected. It hasnt bothered me as all dash items are still easily visible.

-seatbelts return slowly, when unclipped (apparently typical)

- a few random scratches here and there. In the sun and at the right angle there are two little dents that are barely perceptible.

That's all I can think of. I built the truck to be able to drive across the continent without a worry other than standard maintenance. All the OE components that start wearing at about 100k have been replaced fro peace of mind with OE toyota parts. I would drive it anywhere. Engine compartment kept stock for reliability purpose and ease to find parts in South America and Canada. The truck has seen gravel roads and easy 4wd trails mainly to access mountain bike trails and ski destination in the winter. I use it as my daily driver as it is my only vehicle, so mileage will increase accordingly.

Def. one clean truck, esp. if you used it for any amount of wheeling.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat, if I had money... I miss my old taco, very reliable and tough. Also very small.

Thanks, it has been well cared for indeed. I'd say more exploring than wheeling.

I definately want it to go to a good home!
