Help! :Wow1:
My 2003 Disco has dual rear hub leaks. Before I go stock and conventional on the repair I want to make sure you folks don't have a better solution.
1. If I end up modifying the Disco in the future is there a different after market hub solution that I should consider? Something stronger/better?
2. Another forum had guys who abandoned oil and used grease packing. My understanding of this assembly is that the oil from the differential runs it's oil to the hubs, hence, making grease packs impossible. I'd love to avoid the $$$ of new hubs by using grease but can it be done?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
PS at the risk of alienating myself from Rover loyalist I'll show you what I did to my last Disco (2002) that became economically impractical to repair. I'd hate to lose another Disco! See if you recognize the growth on the back of my Excursion...anyone for a pop-up camper?
