04 F150 supercab

Going to be getting a 04 F150 supercab with the 6’ 6” bed. Truck has the 5.4 engine. It’s in good shape. Dealer where we’re getting it from is doing a few little things to it so hopefully picking it up in a couple of weeks. Truck is a plain Jane even has manual windows.

My dad has the same year truck. It's been a good one. He had a problem with oil starvation in the top end after about 125k miles; I think it was the oil pump had a cast aluminum backing plate, which allowed flex and blow by. They have since updated the design to a cast iron backing plate.

We use to have a couple of those where I work. From 0-120,000 miles they only got basic maintaince and they held up well.
