35's can fit but will take some work. You'll either need spacers or new wheels with more offset to push the tire out. Go for the wheels if you can. The fender flares will need trimming and you will need to tub the firewall on both sides. It's a good amount of work. 33's need less work, but you will still need to do most of what I just listed.

The bigger question is how will the thing drive on stock gears with 35's. I'm running stock (3.91 I think) on 33's and it does fine. Though if I were to jump up to 35's I will likely regear to either 4.56 or 4.88. I would love 35's but I hate the thought of a regear.

Re-redoing things the third time
Even to just run 295/75/16s I had to tub the cab quite a bit. 285/75/16 never rubbed on the body at full bump and lock but I have aftermarket wheels, camburg upper control arms, and I deleted the inner fender covers.

Did the sequoias have the 3.91s or 4.30s? There was some oddball way to get factory 4.30s but I think it was on v6 ext cab 4wd Tundras though it has been a long time since I read that.

Im no stranger to tubbing and trimming to get more tire to fit and normally I’d be all over it but life is busy and I just wanna get out the door, strangely I think I have 4.30s already for some odd reason the rear diff has 430 written on it in paint pen like a junkyard uses . Some day I’ll pull the third and find out

Last rig I stuffed more tire on was my 2012 xterra I trimmed the fenders 2” and reshaped the inner fender liners (heat and building a cage inside the wheel well) to get a set of 315/75r16 on 2” of lift .

Tires are on only a slight rub on the frame at full lock , super quiet and the steering is effortless. We will see how they do on some FS roads this weekend

Sleeping platform/kitchen is mostly done still need to do some fine tuning and actually mount it but so far so good . I made it 3 pieces so I can take out the majority of it but still use the 3rd row seats …. In theory lol don’t have the seats yet so I guessed . Still need drawer slides just need to make sure it fits with the seats b4 I get the slides incase I need to shorten it some more . 9D1E2A11-DEC7-4E85-BDA5-2D8FC0572674.jpegC1D8D1A2-87F6-4169-836B-CA9FDD053B11.jpeg

Nothing to exciting going on car wise just driving around and living life . Have a little extra time with a little one so I drove down the gorge for a while there’s some fog and a couple of gravel roads quickly realizing I really need to get new rear shocks as they overextend over every big bump. So nice to just crank up some metal and spend quality time with her . 551C4D0F-0079-44CB-8D95-3C8C9B7D207F.jpegD5AEFF90-7504-48DC-B01B-89D5C44A96A2.jpeg44DCB32D-1916-4D3D-948F-0A55689303A5.jpegCFEBB8A3-FE95-4903-9E73-592357549120.jpeg5A642ABD-723E-4B5F-A318-438B0143BD02.jpeg29E8B5C7-A7F3-4C73-8CD3-82C558F45151.jpegB286CC79-3905-48FE-B49A-3EF2CC0F262B.jpeg

And yes my friends and family already have bets going on how long I will keep this .

This made me laugh as I've heard it countless times too! :ROFLMAO:

Your rig looks good! (y) Don't waste your time, brain cells, and hard earned $$$ trying to stuff 35's under your Sequoia. These things are fuel thirsty enough in stock form.

I went this route a few years back... https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/for-sale-2006-toyota-sequoia-sr5-4wd-sold.205034/
No rubbing at full lock either direction with very adequate ground clearance. No trimming or tubbing. Perfect combo of suspension, wheels and tires for a solid, well handling, quiet ride. Didn't ding MPG's too much either.
Kind of regretted selling it at this point. Have built up and liquidated ALOT of rigs over the years just to finance other ideas/rigs. I have a disease, as do you, and many others here o_O

At this point if I’m going to step up in tire size I would go 37s . If I’m gonna destroy my mileage I might ass well go full stupid lol

Place I bought it from claimed to have put new brakes on it and they did but just the pads so it started developing a shake when hitting the brakes from warping the rotors . Hope these help , took me a couple extra days to get them on when I could do a proper break in procedure without someone calling the cops thinking I’m drunk . looks like one of my new struts is almost shot already . I didn’t quite pay attention when I installed them but it looks like one side has a different lower bushing than the other guess I need to pop this one out send it in for warranty. E0697412-836C-45A6-92CB-B0679774CCA3.jpeg

Measure the OD, bolt size, and Width and grab a replacement poly universal one. Probably less than $20

bolt hole was the same size it was the smaller bushing that was the problem , it was collapsing under the weight of the rig and the strut itself was 1/2” shorter . Has the right part number on the strut but obviously the wrong part .
