05+ Tacoma Skid plates

I'm in the need of a full set of underbody skid plates. I'm looking to do the entire underbody, front to rear. I've been eyeballing the All Pro Offroad skids, but wanted to check out the forum to see if there are any recommended vendors that I'm missing.

I'm looking for thick steel, not light aluminum, as I'm interested in doing VOT next year.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hands Down Pelfreybilt.

FWIW...

I did a lot of reading and comparing before buying my IFS Skid Plate & full under body protection (working on the rest).
I wanted the most protection, most complete kit with the best quality and price. For me that was Pelfreybilt Off Road..!!!

His customer service is excellent an his build quality is amazing.
I also love the fact that he made sure every vulnerable part was protected. Check out his sight and look out for "sales" he runs them all the time.

Here's my IFS Skid Plate. Hope this helps.

I've got relentless fabrications skids on my tacoma. The're pretty awesome. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the big names. I liked the way the relentless transfer case skid attached to the frame more than some of the others. The protection around the transmission crossmember is really good, too. I imagine most transfer case skids are similar but I found it to be a total PITA to tighten the bolts in the transmission crossmember area. Your hands have to be very flexible and you need to get in just the right position. I think the issue would get much less dramatic with an exhaust crossover re-route though.
