Do not reinforce it !!!!!
Find the squeak and give it the freedom to move.
You try to bolt it up tighter, something will break, tear, rip.
Flex is the best thing in a 4x4.
That's good advice BB. I didn't really think i'd want that seem to slip around at all. I wouldnt think the body and cab flexing independently of eachother in this type of rig as a good thing as it really is a unibody design.

Also for anyone interested in this Aluminess Tiger Siberian bumper Aluminess will sell the bumper to installers only. You can not purchase direct as some folks have found out. Contact Agile or another installer to reach out to Aluminess on your behalf. That's what was told to me by John at Agile.

Pretty sure that is just a rubber seal. Unibody would be welded solid. It is designed and built to allow flex between the 2 separate bodies and the frame which actually does twist.

Good to know, tx BB. Someone else on the Sportsmobile forum echo'ed your comments as well. Maintenance of the rubber and keeping an eye on the bolts on the inside joining the two should be apart of my regular inspections.

Going short and sweet with the posts... but here is the rig in its current phase of build out. Interior! Eli at Adventure Bravely and I have taken our time with the design but glad to say the build it finally underway and parts are starting to show up. Eli found this great jump seat. WIll make an excellent third travel seat and desk/dinner table.

Walnut is getting planed as we speak and will line both walls lengthwise above and below the side shelves shown in the pics.

@KDB what a rad rig. Out of curiosity is the utility body hard mounted to the frame?
Hi there, Tx BSR. It is hard mounted to the frame...if im understanding you correctly. Similar to a box truck. The body isn't independent of the cab so some caution should be used in any serious body torsion offroading situations. It performed very well in baja for tackling some steeper rough sections, however. The cab and body seam do flex and are designed to do so within reason. I was advised by a member here to not try and reinforce that as flex is your friend. I'm taking his advice and haven't seen any issues. You can view the more complete thread with more pics on the sportsmobile forum under the Show and Tell section. Interior just finished. Off to the engine shop for a full bullet proofing.

Requests for a few more of the cabinet pics. Shown is gas for both indoor and outdoor cooking, Stove/water storage cabinet (heated), and the summer time restroom storage and wintertime boot cabinet for warming with the espar.

Been a while....Few more pics of the van all wrapped up....almost. Wrappon toilet to come, redesigning water system to better winterize the lines and holding tanks, and electric oven install all to come in the next few weeks. I intend to have a couple of water quick disconnects spread our around the van for easy access20201203_165336.jpg20210811_183111.jpg
