Nope. This pump has rubber mounting feet. So vibrations are nothing. I think this will be a great pump for you. It can pump water up 8 vertical feet, it's self priming and won't burn up if it runs dry. Plus it will withstand the temps you're looking for. I know I have run hotter then 170°F water through mine and it still performs great.

The 8000-543-250 is what I am using. The internal bypass stops short cycling and decreases heat build up.

yep, the one I chose (8000-543-210) is exactly the same, just slightly less pressure and less GPM to match my cold water pump so things behave well at the mixer.

I am having trouble with the two pumps not having the same pressure and temp is all over the place but once you get it started it evens out as long as you don't shut it off
I am using this shower head it helps to be able to use the 1/2 gpm setting to save on holding tank space and not have to do navy shower

I'd say the 8000 series Shurflos are pretty durable. I've got the 8000-543-250 (viton valves, santoprene diaphram) running as a high pressure / flow washer fluid pump in my Jeep. It's survived pumping washer fluid (water / methanol mix) and being somewhat exposed to the elements and baked in heat under the hood for the last year. Hasn't missed a beat.
