2015 LandRover LR4 - this vehicle is a dream for somebody whose been wanting a like new Land Rover. Bought this car planning to make an overland rig out of it but.... before I could....last year, insurance paid for a BRAND NEW engine. Straight from the factory. The car has 76K miles, but only 10,000 miles on the engine (all paperwork available to show the $30,000 repair done to replace everything in the engine compartment after the old engine seized following an oil pump chain break). Drive it weekly so that'll go up slightly, but while the car was in the shop/insurance was being taken care of, got another rig which became my work car, and decided to let this go to somebody who wants the benefits of an LR4 that is like new in the engine compartment.

Ceramic coated 7 months ago, and is in great shape. A few small scuffs as you'd expect for a '15 car, but no major pin-striping or anything else to note on the exterior. Leather is in great shape inside, comes w/ weathertec mat for the back. Only con on the inside is that the dashboard leather is starting to pull apart a bit.

HSE Luxury, highest level trim, with rear seat entertainment, a fridge in the front, incredible speakers - all the goodies.

Located in Pasadena, California.

Asking --DROP PRICE -$18k
- if somebody wants to enjoy the brand new engine, it'll be a great rig for a long, long time.

My engine seized on my ‘16 because someone did a bad timing chain job. But how did you get insurance to cover it? I had warranty coverage but they canceled it because a use of my oversized tires lol. $18K later .

Where did your engine come from?

Oof that's brutal. Same thing here - bad timing chain job. Can't believe they got away with that cancellation....although they did fight me too so not particularly surprised.

Engine came from JLR directly, believe it was shipped from somewhere on the east coast. Warranty company insisted that it be a new JLR engine which made the repaid cost $27k (engine alone was $16,102.69) - which was a bit of a bummer since I would've preferred swapping engines. And of course they cancelled my policy after they wrote the check!

Does this have the HD package? Looks like the button is missing but can’t tell for sure.

Is the replacement engine it a different model engine than the one that failed?
Pics of engine bay?
Thank you
Charles

It states it’s a factory new engine and only one engine works in the 2014-2016 LR4. So it’s the same SCV6 3L.
