15' trailer - North America road trip.

When I was a kid my Dad took my sister and I , 15 and 13 on a road trip across north america in our 1972 pontiac lemans , we went coast to coast staying in all of the major cities and little hick towns . My fathers parents had done the same thing when he was a kid towing a little trailer with him and his 3 siblings and that was in the 50's . i want my family to have those same memories - so this spring i picked up some elses unfinished project. apparently there is a whole community of people who are into older trailers and this ladie had bought this trailer unbeknownst to her husband lol but i guess it wasnt old enough and she bought a second one from the 60's and had the 2 of them in there driveway, Hubby said get rid of this one and i picked up for $900.

I want a self sufficient trailer one you can either camp in a full service resort if you want to go to Disneyland or 3 hours down a goat trail , 1st thing was to tear the hubs apart and buy two new tires and a spare.

They dont make the size that the trailer had on previously except in a passenger tire but i was able to squeeze in some 205/75r15 ST trailer tires.

I found a never used spare and mount off a guy on craigslist . he bought last year then traded his trailer on a new one .

with the new meats on it ! its about an inch and a half higher than previous .

I have two kids , wife and a dog need a bigger tow vehicle so I bought this off my co worker !

Not sure how i want to set the trailer up the previous owner re did the roof with a fiber/rubber one and put a new Dometic foot pump toilet in, it has a small water tank with manual hand pump 3 way fridge, stove oven and furnace, I have a Honda suitcase generator and plan to make a plywood camp kitchen/chuck box . I was thinking about stripping everything except the toilet , furnace and dinette out, but My ultimate plan is to eventually own a 18' trillium or bigfoot trailer.
