-On trusting the odometer and the addition of slightly over sized tires- Very good point. Perhaps I'll use the GPS to get a more accurate numbers....or maybe I will just go with the less than accurate set I've got now....
Rover trader- The mechanicals are bone stock...189,900 miles (knock on wood)
I live on the coast of Georgia, so that puts the engines height above sea level at.....4':ylsmoke:
Prius owners- It's all a matter of what you want I suppose. I love it when I drive by a group of kids in my truck and they stop and stare. You can almost feel their imaginations firing.
I'm with you on the power steering fluid...I'm tempted to put a bucket under the truck and pour it straight back through....

well here;s my stats
best tank was highway driving across the midwest low octane fuel 84 or 86 i believe, pulled 17.8 mpg that was 2" lift and 265 75 16 bfg mt's. now running around town was more like 14.5 and with the extra weight of winch and bumpers and roof rack lights etc i get 12 or so. figures i would ad my 2 cents- also should ad its a 95 with 120k and a 5 speed

Well, if we're talking diesel, my XD Tdi is 28mpg- every tank, always, but is stock height and low profile rack...

MPG wise, my 95 Disco I with Automatic Trans has averaged 12.13 MPG over 18,129.4 miles. Most of my driving is below 40mph on hills in Cincinnati.
When I drive the highway for a whole tank, I usually get 15. No matter what. I even get 15 when pulling a camper.
As far as accuracy, I run the stock tire size. My speedometer is off by 4-5MPH, but using a GPS, my Odometer is off less than .1 miles over 100 miles traveled. I've tested it 4 times. That seems pretty accurate to me, especially for a mechanical odometer.
