The places we visited today.
Marvel at the engineering of the Spiral Tunnels. Someone else has to explain exactly what this is because I cannot explain it, but I was lucky to see a train doing the maneuver.
Next stop was the stunningly beautiful Emerald Lake. A sight to see. Do not miss it!
Rent a red canoe and make this experience intimate!
If you visit Emerald Lake, do not for any reason miss to visit Takakkaw Falls! The second highest Falls in Canada. Make sure to do the whole 1 mile round trip hike and go under the fall to get wet! it will put a smile on your face. Or make sure to seat on the Red chair or a park bench and savor the beauty with your eyes.
Sit on these icon red chairs and savor this view.
Or walk all the way to the bottom of the Falls and get wet! It is very refreshing.
Then as you turn around to walk back to your car, you are greeted by this snow covered mountain top view that looks like a cowboy hat! Enjoy the view as you hike back to your car.
As you leave the parking lot for your 8.5 miles drive back to highway 1, just stop at the 7.5 miles mark to say hello to Natural Bridge.
And that was it for the day. We were very hungry at this point. We drove 1.5 hours back to Banff and went for some Indian Food on Banff Avenue. It was so good. Buttered spicy curry chicken with goat stew. Served with some rice and garlic Naan! Yummy and very flavorful. After dinner, we went for ice cream and I stopped and got my last Beavertail snack for the trip! What a great way to end our last day in Banff. We leave tomorrow for Jasper. But along the way, we will stop for our planned Columbia Icefield Glacier Adventure. Looking forward to walking on the Glacier and drinking Glacier water and taking some home.
