We shared a hotel room for 10 days in Khartoum, Sudan both trying to get a visa for Saudi Arabia. I managed to get one, he did not which caused him a lot of problems...

great trip. By the way, we also spent 10 days in a hotel room in Khartoum waiting for our visa for Saudi...which we did not get.

It was hard work thats for sure, especially the 2 hour wait outside each day in 46 degree heat. We invented a good excuse to start using the diplomatic entrance, who of course deflected us to the console section, but through the back entrance into the (extremely unfriendly and unhelpful) consoles office rather than having to go through the front office glass windows/bank teller type exchange. After lunch with some of the workers things got better. Very hard work.
