hey guys i am thinking about selling my 109 pick up, i have been working on it for a while. I bought it from a old timer in central PA and it was his restoration project for 10 years, than lost interest and sold it to me. I have gotten the truck mechanically sound and added a few things to better it along the way. I have about 3500$ in brand new parts that have been installed and are waiting to be installed. I planned it being a trail truck for me, But things have changed, and i have lost a bit of interest in the project and it doesnt help working 60 hour weeks 6 days a week. There isnt a bit of rust on the bulkhead, chassis, or breakfast. its a beautiful truck, runs great! I would say its about 80% complete. The body is surprisingly pretty straight, the previous owner put some fiberglass on the rear panels of the tub, i was planning on doing it when i got tired of looking at fiberglass. i would say i have assembled 70% of it, i have about 10% of parts still waiting to go on.
as for mechanically sound, i have dropped the fuel tank, cleaned it out, cleaned lines, replaced fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor, replace plugs, wires, points, condenser, cap and rotor, and that got it running great the whole drivetrain only has 24,000 miles on it. i also threw some ROAM offroad chromoly rear Axle shafts so it will strengthen the driveline up. i am sure i am missing out a few things.
right now i have it up on jack stands in my garage i am replacing the rear leafs, and shock with parabolics(already did fronts) and i am also in the process of going through the brakes(looks like they just need to be cleaned of grease, and adjusted).
here is a short list of what needs to be done:
needs wiper motors rebuilt
needs rear glass installed (have the glass just not seals)
needs new door tops (have old ones but they or destroyed)
needs a wiring harness for the directional and brake switch
needs tires to be really road worthy
needs exterior paint if desired ( i wasnt planning on doing it because i like the different color look)
needs door seals aswell.
thats really about it, those are really the only things that it need to be road worthy.
i am asking 6000$ i think its worth every penny. please PM me if your interested. i may be interested in a trade for small 250 dual sport. or a BMW e30. offer what you have.
