I am the second owner of this 1969 Toyota FJ Cruiser following a frame-on restoration. It is a wonderful truck: I completed a 1700 mile road trip in 2015 between Phoenix and San Francisco in which it ran very smoothly. Below are the specifications:
SBC stroked 383 with rebuilt heads all new gaskets, new timing chain, new cam- for better performance while (daily driving)
GM SM420 transmission
new edelbrock carbuerator
new fuel pump
new fuel lines braided hose and AN fittings
new fuel filters
new cooling system
new alternator
new Truck-Lite 7" LED headlights
electrical rewiring of dash and all lighting

floor boards covered in color matched liners
metal tech nose guard
warn winch 900
new modified family cage from metal tech
front axle partial rebuild when I installed 60 third with fine splines, lunch box locker and 3.73 gears-for better gas mileage
rear axle-new bearings and seals done less than 10k miles ago, locker, 60 third with 3.73 gears and fine spline
spring over axles
cut and turned front axle
anti wrap bar in rear
brand new shocks
saginaw power steering conversion
35 x 12.5 x 15 with full size spare
custom rear bumper with tire carrier
new front brakes

complete interior reupholstery with houndstooth automotive fabric
Outstanding issues:
The exterior paint has a number of scrapes and chips from normal usage. There is some oxidation and chipping of the paint from fuel overflow near the fuel filler.
The truck had one episode of engine stumbling under load when I was driving through the desert for 4+ hours and the ambient temp was 115+. I tried to diagnose the problem but couldn't figure out a cause at the time. I have been unable to replicate this issue since.
Transmission grinds occasionally when going into gear.
Two rock chips in windshield, filled but crack still visible.
Parking brake cable needs to be connected.
Fuel tank sender needs to be recalibrated.

$20,500 OBO. In person inspection is welcomed and encouraged. Please contact me with any questions.
