1971 LC carb rebuild...need HELP locating a part

Hey guys, new to the forum. Found it from a friend on FB who hangs out around here.

Anyways, Im rebuilding a carb on a 1971 LC, and I bought a rebuild kit for it, and everything in the kit was correct, EXCEPT the pump boot. Short of buying ANOTHER rebuild kit (with chances of it having the wrong boot as well), I was wondering if anyone knows of anyone that can supply me JUST the boot? I know it's not a high $$$$ item, and it's not much business. But, it IS business.

Im not computer literate, so not sure if I can attach a picture of the boots I have (old/correct one, and new/wrong one), but Im going to try to attach them.

OK, I was able to...correct boot (old one), is the boot on the left. The boot on the right, is the new one, but the wrong one. If you look at the base, the diameter of the new boot is much bigger than the old/correct one. I measure them at .99MM for correct boot, and @ 1.42MM for the new boot. Any help out there guys??? Thanks

We should have them loose (outside of a complete kit), part# CARB61010 as I recall.

What brand kit are you using? Everything else fit OK huh? Where are you measuring the diameter? The only crucial dims are the diameter where it rides on the carb top housing, the length and the diameter where it rides on the accel pump shaft.

Give us a shout tomorrow and I can check:

I got the kit off of Cool Cruisers of Texas. I have sent them an email and left message to try and rectify the problem, but haven't heard back from them.

The diameter/measurement I am going by, is the base diameter (outer), of how it fits into the top plate of the carb. The new boot, with it's larger OD, will not allow it to fit/seat into the hole in the carb. So, the boot just pops back out.

So the hold in the top of your carb is just .99mm?

Either way, we stock a variety of different carb parts and I'm 100% confident our Part# CARB61010 is the correct boot for your carb.
