1973 Ford Quadravan Ambulance

Hello all.

I just got this 1973 Ford Quardavan. It was a former Teton County Wyoming Back country Search and Rescue ambulance.

Looking to get it into ship shape for a little bit of exploring.

Come with a 302 and 4WD. I drove it home yesterday about 60 miles. Everything works!

Cool van, it looks to be in great shape, too. Nice find.

Is it basically a cargo van, or is the interior still outfitted with ambo stuff?

It has the full ambulance setup complete with suction pump, gurney and operating lights.

No A/C though. I need to come up with a solution for that ASAP

ROOFTOP unit that runs off of the alternator would be ideal. But I don't think that is possible because
Of the amperage those beasts pull.

I'm sure it's been discussed- anyone have a shortcut answer for me?!!

Nice find!!! I am jealous! You will need an alternate source of power so a Portable Honda 1000 generator would work best. Small and quiet. It's a little expensive esp when paired with the AC. But if you need AC its a must. plus it will run a plethera of other things as well.
