Not a separate trailer thread, it's all going in this thread. This is the waggy/trailer build I guess. I've just been posting the updates in here.

Just so you guys know (and to torture you like it does me...) The Cherk from "Trucks" built by Stacy David is for sale.
*Drool*
You can see the link to it here...

Wish I had that kind of money for a project. :(

I don't know that much about Waggys/Cherokees, but that seems a little high to not have running gear.
I would love to have a 79 Waggy(been searching for the right one for about 6 months)

Its expensive but not really overpriced. There was a LOT of work put into that Cherk and it has been the cause of many puddles of drool over the years. I'd buy it without the drive train and put a 4bt in it and have a super clean, uber reliable unique classic. But that's just me dreaming again... :)

I was going to chime in with the same thing. In rain, snow, and ice you will be FAR better off with the AT's.

P.S. your cherokee looks great!

Okay so All Terrains it is. Thanks guys for the input on the tires and Doc thanks for the complement. Mainly just maintenance items for now, real mods will come along. Love your Waggy as well, its clean and well built. Keep it up!

Sad, I hope it stays as a whole... Or maybe Stacey buys it :). Don't like the front bumper they they put on... Doesn't seem over priced when you look at the list of "New" parts and cross-reference that with a list of the purchase price of those parts... BJ's Offroad and Crown are really the only two companies still offering parts for these beasts. 4BT would be nice for the mileage but parts and overall comfort are not the greatest... I would probably go with an LS3, TCI 6-Speed and an Atlas... OR junk yard 6.0 liter out of a truck with tranny and throw on an Atlas...

VERY nice build. Working on a 78 Cherokee myself. Been eyeing a mid 60's pop-up everyday for the last 2 weeks. MIGHT just jump on it :)View attachment 121365View attachment 121366

Has 31x10.5-15s on it Now, will have 33x10.5s on it by the end of next month. Have to go with BFGs because it seems they are the only company offering the size. Not sure if I want the KM2s or just the ATs... Central Oregon is mostly gravel/sandy roads for off-roading, will deal with a lot of snow in the winter and I am worried about the ATs packing up. Will probably end up with the KM2s...

Don't underestimate the BFG AT in snow. A couple years ago We got snowed in on our annual "right after Christmas trip" in some AZ mountains around 6500 feet. After the second day we decided to go for it as the sun finally came out. Keep in mind this was my old truck and it was a 92 Nissan 4 banger completely stock except for a catback exhaust and 31 inch BFG AT's. I drove about 10 miles through what you see in the video (that was the paved mountain road) after originally going a couple miles first from camp on a mild 4wd road. It was 4 lo and 2nd gear the whole way but I made it out. We broke tracks as obviously no one had driven it yet.

back to the topic at hand...

So, i just went to walmart and 'rented' a 5 lug to test the fit of a 175/80D13 tire since they dont have them in 4 lug, and I didnt want to order some online only to have to pay 75 bucks to ship them back if they didnt fit.

Fit just fine. Plenty of clearance for the wheel well above it. I'm ordering some now, dang things are expensive. $300 for tires on a $800 camper? I'm an idiot. Oh well. They should last a long time if stored right, and I could skip the spare....but...well...thats just a bad idea.

That waviness is so weird, feels like my eyes were freaking out! Looks great! I would definitely pop for the spare tire, seems like a necessary evil. Stopped to look at a "Classic Camp Trailer" today, it is probably mid 60's, door in the back, canvas folds out over the sides. Weird setup... Nice thing is that it could be deployed while still attached to vehicle... Oh ya and the price has dropped to $300. Canvas has a few holes, don't know about: the lights, year, make, model, TITLE? Keep it up Doc. you have followers haha

l did the same tire swap on my pop up trailer and it towed like a different trailer. That was primarily on road as well. Just a smoother nicer experience. I ordered the wheels online and purchased tires locally, was still $300 when it was all said and done.

looks nice.

I watched that one yesterday when I was on your page. Sounds good at idle, does it get raspy or anything in the higher RPMS? I need to do a video of the old school "Cherry Bomb" that is on mine, it is so freaking loud and doesn't even sound good haha. I was thinking of replacing it with either a Flowmaster or a Magnaflow. How long have you had the FM on yours?
