1975 Chevrolet G-30 · Pathfinder 4x4 Hi-Top -- Worth it?

Found this Pathfinder 4x4 Hi-Top. Looks really sweet, but is $8,500 a bit high? Not sure the value on these. Cosmetic condition is pretty rough, maybe $4-5k is more fair? Probably 155k miles not 55k, but haven't confirmed with the owner.

Trying to figure out my ideal rig for traveling around the west this winter with a snowmobile. Right now my plan was to get a Toyota T100 for ~4-6k, put the sled in the back, and haul a small 13ft fiberglass trailer. A decent fiberglass trailer in that size is probably going to cost 7-9k which I could also use to build out this van.

How reliable are these Pathfinders? T100 probably wins in reliability and gas mileage, but the ability to customize the van and have it all in one contained package sounds nice too. Finding a good T100 has been no problem for me.

Thoughts?

I had a 1986 Chevy G30 Pathfinder van.
Mine was in much better condition and had a lot of work done to it.
I sold it in 2007 for $8500, so this one is way over valued.

no a/c, no airbags, 8 mpg, 55 mph max, vibration and noise issues....

And the Pathfinder front suspension problems built right in!

Seriously - Pathfinder get as lot of credit for being an early source of 4x4 vans, but their designed-in geometry is pretty horrid. I'd heard bad things for years but didn't understand until SpencyG redid the whole front-end on Boomer (search for that thread on here for some great photos). Finally seeing the Pathfinder geometry laid out with good photos, and seeing how it would move on compression, etc. was an eye-opener.

Seems like they are trying to bank in on the west coast 4x4 van life mark up.

I'll just keep moving and stay with the T100
