The real army plaques were unit marked, SA and then some digits, letters can depend. No flag, and no words. example:
DE would be Schweizer Armee and FR would be Armée suisse, IT would be even more distinct, Esercito Svizzero. My guess is they tried French and messed the grammar up. What is even more odd is there are plaques like the repro one but the grammar is correct. The majority out there are the wrong ones.
OP GLWS just wondering out loud, I never did hear who originally had these made.
