1978 e250 Pathfinder front steering - toast

looking at a mostly rust free 1978 e250 pathfinder quadravan

this van runs and drives - but is not really road worthy - the entire front end needs to be rebuilt

what options exist to actually refurbish to improve this, maybe change this to a crossover steering style system?

If you go to crossover it may need a new pass side steering knuckle and you'll have to re do the trac bar to make it parallel. Would be a nice improvement!

It can be done, but it is a 100% fabrication project...nothing bolt on is available for this.

Details

The stock suspension and steering isn't worth reviving, so unless you're ready to spend some serious money re-designing the front end, I'd probably leave it on the side of the road.
