A friend of mine recommended this fine site for selling Maxine. Maxine is a bit of a hybrid in that she's a motor home placed on top of a 79 4x4 Chevy pickup with a 454 motor. This was done by a friend of mine who was tired of having to chain up every time he took his snow mobiles over the pass. It licenses as a truck, which is a very nice bonus. Appliances run off of propane, batteries and electric so that you can camp off the grid. New mechanical and electronic fuel pumps. Water lines mostly redone in pex piping, 2 new deep cell batteries, new sub floor and flooring (cork and rubber...very high end and durable). I'd rather chat about her in person. I will only show by appointment and would prefer responses with telephone numbers. She gets a lot of cool comments and looks when she's out and about. If you want comfort off the grid, and be able to GET off the grid........this may be the rig for you. Other notables, in order to stay true to the rules of this fine site: In my re-plumbing, I found that I'm not quite tricky enough to hook the toilet to the pex line, so someone will have to finish that detail. The wipers are a bit sketchy and the biggest deal is that the gas gauge doesn't work. Never has apparently. Didn't bother the friend that I got it from, he just kept track. I can't take the pressure.
. 2 new deep cell batteries, new shower, new table leg and brace. Many things done, probably some things left to do. She's old, but runs great. Thanks for looking. Sorry, I forgot the price. I was planning on just adding the Craigslist link. Asking $5,000.
