It is after "some effort" using the forum search in extracting information from this site in assistance of my build, that i reluctantly post this request.
generally speaking i pride myself in not doing this, and simply watching and learning :) but here i am. i did find some things but im looking for more.

Vehicle:
1984 Ford Bronco

Engine:
351W
.040 over bore
eagle alloy pistons and H beam connecting rods
complete crane cams RV Fuel Economy camshaft
Edlebrock 600CFM 4BBL Carburetor
weiand aluminum intake manifold
complete smog delete kit from Ford racing
Stock ford ignition system for parts availability

Transmission:
C6 3 speed auto
rebuilt 55,000 miles ago
when engine was out
for good measure

T-Case:
NP-205
Recently resealed
flawless performance

Ford 9" Rear Diff:
lokka locker
new pinion seal

D44TTB Front Diff:
open stock
new ujoints

driveshafts:
stock
new ujoints

The intended purpose of this vehicle: To drive approximate round trim distances of 750 to 1,000 miles to remote camping locations in Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico and after some experience.... Colorado.. basically south central U.S. I have been all over this world and into some of its most dangerous places and done some pretty spectacular offroad driving along the way, i have no desire to leave the continental United States... period.

Why this Vehicle?

1) i dont mind putting a dent or a scratch in a 31 year old vehical

2) the 351W/C6/NP205/Ford 9"/ D44TTB are all extremely durable powertrain options (not a prerunner person but ive seen the TTB in action)

3) it has no electronics controlling powertrain (generally low tech altogether)

4) i have another complete truck to steal parts off of.

5) it was already lifted

6) i can clear HMMWV Tires (125$ each with guaranteed 90% tread life)

7) it was 1,750 and has been the most dependable 4x4 i have owned to date.

8) it is really comfy and roomy

9) very very capable offroad with an excellent turning radius and wonderful ground clearanc

Whew,

with all of that being said, i will conclude with a current modification list (in addition to the above mentioned) and the current to do list.

i have an ARB Front winch bumper and Warn 9000I Winch with 15K Rope
the truck is equipped with a 6 inch suspension lift and 37 inch HMMWV tires
i built a skid plate for the fuel tank
i have a 5hp honda powered 110V generator/arc welder (courtesy of the military auction)
50 feet of weldind leads and the assorted PPE and supplies to go with it. ( ill post a pic sometime lol)
military auction fuel and water cans ( 2 water and 2 fuel )
just installed a 12k rated 2" receiver hitch from a 2002 superduty
ordered the MOLLE tactical seat covers with storage pouches

Thoughts: Building a roof rack that spans the removable hard top, and the actual cab of the truck
360* lighting and interior lighting (LED converted KC daylighters and Recon interior lighting)

i need to figure out sleeping arrangements, cooking ( ARB Fridge for storage ) and perhaps some creature comforts for the wife.

and anything else im missing you guys can share

PLEASE SHARE YOUR OPINIONS

i need experienced, seasoned input.

Sounds like you have a nice plan going. Indeed Ford has had some nice rigs in the past for sure.

Something I might suggest for yours would be the Skyjacker pt# FA600 drop pitman arm if you don't already have this particular drop arm on it. It solves a lot of the handling & alignment headaches on lifted Twin-Beam suspensions that can result from a poor steering linkage angle, it's drop amount matches more closely with that of most lifts than the arms most of the industry provides (should be able to toss that steering stabilizer getup to the curb as well).

For sleeping/kitchen/storage arrangements that mount in the back, you should be able to collect some cool ideas from this thread (I certainly did for mine :) ) :

First off, nice looking bronco. I love this Gen. That power plant and drive train are boom proof. Fords of this Era have a pretty weak alternator. Maybe upgrade to a high output one to run all your extra lights and what not. Also look in to what they call the big three upgrade. It upgrades wires to the alternator, ground to block and ground to chassis. I did it and it really improved charging.

I love these , stock they were quite capable. I must have had four of these in the mid 80's . Funny thing it's like when you were a kid you swore you would eat ice cream every day when you grew up , most of us forgot that....hopefully lol.
I see this rig and it reminds me of all the tut one models I had XLT 's all. Never broke the top off but loved them.
Thanks for reminding me of a future project for sure .
I just want to say good luck and hope your build goes well.
