This truck is in great shape. It has a solid rust-free frame, rebuilt engine, and lots of recent work done. It was originally in Southern California and Las Vegas (at least as far back as I have documentation). It has been garaged for the past 10-12 years. This is a reliable and mechanically sound vehicle. I have no problem if you want to have your own mechanic take a look.
I have all paperwork going back to 1998. I've been driving it 3-5x/week. It runs and drives great. No problem getting up to 75MPH on highway, and it tracks straight. I had ALL work that was needed done, since I had plans to keep the vehicle for longer. All work advised by the mechanic has been completed. I've been getting about 9-12MPG, depending on traffic and driving conditions. Odometer reads 216.6k miles. Email or call if you have questions or want to take a look.
The truck is mostly stock with original parts, glass, paint, but has these modifications:
-32" BF Goodrich A/T tires
-Modest lift (not sure of details, but I can get part numbers)
-Tuff liner black diamond plate on floor in cargo area and rear seats (see photos)
-CD/AM/FM stereo with detachable faceplate
-Specter Off Road seat covers (some tears in the usual spots on original seats)
New parts:
-Engine rebuilt with only 41,334mi on rebuild. Desmogged and tuned by Torfab. Runs super strong, very reliable. Runs like a new truck.
-New gas tank installed by Toyota dealership in October 2013.
-Front axle was serviced by Torfab in October 2013. Included Marlin Crawler inner axle seals, new wheel seals, new hub gaskets.
-New transfer case output shaft seals (front and rear).
-New driveline U-joints and new spider joints.
-During other work in October, did full inspection and repair of anything that needed replacing.
-Brakes done in Feb 2013 (new front calipers, new rear shoes). Probably under 2-3k miles on them.
-New oil pan and gasket.
-Clutch has less than 11k miles.
-Rear differential was swapped by previous owner and has been on truck for less than 30k miles.
-Radiator has less than 30k miles.
So what's needed? Depends what you want to do with the truck. Nothing is immediately required, so it's a great daily driver as is. I was planning to install. . .
-Matching full size spare tire (current spare tire is 28")
-Tools to swap a spare tire (original bottle jack and some tools included, but you'll need more to be able to do the whole job)
-Replace driver's window regulator. It works fine as is, but could roll smoother
-Continue Tuff Liner floor cover to middle and front section (currently only cargo area is covered)
-OME lift kit
-Recurve distributor and tune carb to match desmog specs (not required, but some folks get as much as 14-16+MPG after this work)
-Not sure how well the A/C works since it's been so cold. It probably needs to be recharged if you plan to use it
-New paint? This is original paint. It has some small chips, some small dents. There's also a bit rust under the paint on the tailgate. However, it still looks great, as you can see in photos
-Minor interior parts replacement: emergency brake boot is torn, shifter knobs missing emblems, etc.
