Very nice. I'd like to get one for my 86 but importing one from Canada would be a pain.

ding, ding. there's your answer, Ryan. He hails from Cannuckistan. :D

Good start with the tow strap. Might want to add:
-some D-shackles,
-a pulley block(to double or re-direct your winch pull),
-a pair of gloves,
-and maybe a tree strap/guard to protect the trunk of a tree used as an anchor from getting cut/hurt by a winch cable.

Cannuckistan....I resent that...LOL very funny...I have some D shakles, gloves, an old pulley block kicking around somewhere...Probs should get a new one...tree strap is a good idea but Ill wait till I get a winch...

Just so all our American Bro's Know...Canada Kicks (Beep) and you know your canadian when you can do IT in a canoe with out tipping. EH...thats pretty awesome eh...Can't forget maple sirop and back bacon....And we can make fun of all political parties without getting shot...including our prime minister...LOL Cant forget Health Care...And as for beer...Lucky Lagar all the way...

you should do either the Vw Tdi diesel swap, or since you are in Canada you should look into the Toyota diesel engines. Vw can get up to 45 mpg depending witch motor you go with. Im planing on a VW tdi 1.9 into my 4runner :smiley_drive:

I'd have wanted to do a Toyota diesel swap but I have decided to wait till more time permits. I was thinking of putting either a 3L T or a 1KZ-T. Avoiding the letter "E" at the end of a Toyota engine ID (eg: 1kz-te) means you never have to dive into ecu's ever again. A vw 1.9 tdi seemed a little to small for me. I'm trying to get a little better than equal power for towing purposes and the Toyota engines have higher displacements which grants the ability to do more work more reliably.

So news on the. 4runner. Lately it has been running rough. So I parked it last October to start fixing it. It still ran good but every now and again it had a rough no start the when it finally got going it was brutal. But it would all clear up and fix itself. I moved to fort Mac January 1st to work till the summer but left my 4runner in my sisters hands to drive. She did eventually take it to a mechanic once the problem presented itself again. What the mechanic did was replace the MAF, fuel regulator and put 4 sparkers in. Problem fixed. He gave it an oil change as well because on those rough starts the engine would be way over fueled, would flood and it forced gas into the crank case. So my engines nice and shiny on the inside now! Well that's all the news. Buying an ARB bumper soon with a warn winch. Looking forward to installing that mod once I get my runner up to fort Mac in April.
