Hi all-
I have my 1986 Toyota 4runner SR5 for sale, which has been my ultimate adventure vehicle for the past 7 years. Together we have roamed from Anza Borrego to Death Valley and countless trips to the Sierras and the Coast Range. Unfortunately, I have reached a time where I need to sell my truck as I am moving to the East Coast. The previous owner and I took excellent care of the truck and I have the receipts to prove it. Some of the highlights include a rebuild engine with less than 30,000 miles, Bilstein shocks all around, soft top by soft topper, BF Goodrich ATs, oil all ways change with Castrol GTX and genuine Toyota oil filter, roof-rack, tow-hitch, and Aisin locking hubs (recently repacked). I have tons of spare parts to go with the truck. I have also built a storage/sleeping platform in the back. I have the original seats and hardware for reinstallation. Overall, the truck is in decent shape for its age, but the interior does have some rough spots and the paint is fading. Personally, I like the patina.
There are also some cons. There is no AC, the back window has become intermittent but still works, sway bar is currently removed, small oil leak (although I have the part to fix it, just not the time), and the radio recently crapped out. The major con is the cam and rocker arms showing wear and need to be replaced, hence the lower price for this gem. These engines are easy to work on and the parts are easy to find.
As you can tell, I like this truck so no low ballers, tire kickers etc.
Looking for a new loving home for the 4runner where she will continue to fuel someone’s adventures- feel free to call or text me at 9five1-two8two-6688. You can also contact me by email. I can also send along more pictures if requested.
