1986 VW LT35 2.4D MK1 - ex ambulance with a broken camshaft :/

Trying to figure this out... Sadly our belt snapped and left the camshaft broken into four parts.

The old cylinderhead (sadly valves bend) has part number 072103373 on it, It seems that all I can locate is a few heads with part number 075103351J. Can anybody tell me the difference or a source to locate the original part?

And since I´m not a mechanic, I have doubt about the valves, two versions was fitted to the LT MK1, a mechanical and a hydraulic. Is my assumption right that valves with adjusting shims the mechanical one, and the hydraulic would be without shims?

Although the brick only has 4x2, the rear-diff-lock makes it somewhat able to go where a standard VW LT won't go, and we would like to get it up and running again.

Have a look for a Volvo D24 as well - they use the same 6 cylinder engine; this was used in the 200 series (D6), 700s (Turbo diesel) and 900s (Turbo diesel).
