SOLD SOLD SOLD
I've finally come around to the inevitability of selling my 87 Ford Sportsmobile "Big Blue." I've put this off for a long time but I've realized as much as I want to fix and keep him, I'm not going to get around to it and I don't have the space to store him any longer. The Sportsmobile was running well when I parked it but is not currently running and has been sitting for over a year, but it could very well be as simple as replacing the starter, battery, and putting some fresh gas in the tank, a steal of a deal for the right person. Definitely could use some work and has some rough edges, but at the same time its in pretty good condition for its age. I am very reluctant to give it up, but I need the space.
Pictures and info are on craigslist
This van has been everywhere, and performs admirably for a 2wd. Its been on the White Rim Trail, to Saline Valley in Death Valley, The High Sierra, To 14,000 feet in the Rockies, All over the backroads of Utah, Backcountry capital reef, and all the way up to the Northern tip of Newfoundland in Canada! Help me keep Blue on the road, he deserves it!
I'd really like to keep this van on the road, and am willing to sell it so cheap to do. I would love to sell Big Blue to someone that'll get as much use out of him as I did (2 years, 30,000 miles around North America). Treat him well and he will treat you the same. Contact me through craigslist if you are interested.
