Hey there! Hope you're all enjoying the fall weather! I'd like to post up our Land Rover 110 series *(Technically LR started calling them the Defender in '90) and though it needs some work it's a great base for an amazing rig!
Here's a link to where it's posted on our local classifieds, there are several pictures (AND INFORMATION like 206k miles on body, new parts, etc.) you can check out there and the description if you're real interested. My number is there too if you'd like to contact me, or you can email me too but odds are I'll have my phone on me and see a text before I see an email.

Long story short- we imported this beauty from the U.K. and have a clean Utah title for it on-hand. It had some work done to get it road worthy before departing and when it arrived at Port Hueneme in California we picked it up and drove it back to Utah without any problems! Since then we've put about 6,000 miles on it, recent oil change with new filter done about 1,000 miles ago and we added a diesel heater that fit perfectly under one of the rear seats and tapped into the tank. The heater is great and has a thermostat/control panel. We took a few of the passenger seats out and made a bed platform with a sheet of plywood that was 6' long and was great for my wife, our 1 yr old boy, and I to camp out and enjoy getting places we hadn't ever been able to get to before. We took the bed platform out and the passenger seats are back in it.
That's about it- it has a newer transmission and t-case and the original 2.5L TD engine that has been rebuilt/refurbished. It smokes a bit at start-up (similar to a diesel Vanagon... any older diesel really) and could probably use a new glow plug or two. If you'd like to know what the inside looks like I can send you pictures (like if you're ready to fly out with a check and drive it home) otherwise just imagine an original interior of a 1989 110 that has been pretty well taken care of but overall just original. Also I think it's worth mentioning that the original paint color was white (obviously the current satin black job is not OG and honestly kind of not my cup of tea at that, but hey) white ones look real great so if you'd re-paint it you might consider restoring it to the original paint color.
These things are going for outrageous prices. We understand that this isn't a perfect restored rover, but I wouldn't hesitate to take it cross-country today as it sits. Our reason for selling it is we'd like to downsize a bit and we're in the process of finishing up a Vanagon that we plan to enjoy and take it easy in for a while. The van is going to be done in about 2 weeks and when it's finished if this hasn't sold we'll probably drive it into our garage and restore it to keep forever. If you'd like to buy it though and have cash (or a way to get financing) then let me know and it's yours to enjoy!
Thanks for checking this out, we love this thing to death but it's time someone else enjoys it now and we'd love to see it go to a good home
