Here are the replacement headlights from LMC. These have removable bulbs. I got the bright ones from LMC. I don't know how bright these are but they throw at least twice what the original ones did and we put new original ones in a few weeks back and these ones are at least twice as bright. Also got the clear parking/turn signals from LMC

This is LMCheadlight relay kit. This is probably another part of whats making the new lights so bright.

The second battery tray in now in place and the deep cycle battery sets on it now.

I'm going to remove the little pod lights on the back bumper and replace them with rigid LED's. This 10" drop trailer hitch is an anchor when you have to back down steep hills. It digs a trench.

In fact GM did put the 700R4 in 3/4 suburbans. It was an option as the overdrive transmission. Common behind the 6.2 diesel. Then it was phased out in 3/4 tons suburbans when the 4L80E debuted. Based on the age of this vehicle it probably has a 4L80E.

This vehicle unless it was specifically optioned with no overdrive, it will have a 4L80E. The one and only year...the perfect storm!

Don't rule out a 700r4. The technology exists to build them into a very rugged transmission as long as you know the limitation. Don't overheat it. Do not expect to tow in overdrive or cause it to constantly hunt between 3rd and 4th. Most importantly, set your TV cable correctly. It will run fine as long as someone reputable built it with quality parts. It has many great features like a lock up converter, tall overdrive, and a deep 1st gear.
