*** Above picture is "pre-lift" - I've taken it off road twice since completing the suspension rebuild and locker install. Everything works flawlessly. It's not abused and built like a tank. The body and underbody is well armored and protected.

I drive the truck nearly everyday. And it's been on numerous camping trips including three trips to Bend, Canada Mt Whistler, Estacada, and Nearby Mountains. The truck has never let me down and runs very well.

ARB Roof Tent (used 4 times) - $1,500

Thule Rack - Quick Release Base Rack - 2 Bike Racks - Snowboard Rack - Matching Locks - $1,100
Exedy Clutch Kit (complete) & New Flywheel - $250
Revolution 3 to 1 Transfercase Gears - $1,000

This has been a fun project and solid truck. I'm very happy with how everything turned out. This is a push rod engine so there's no timing belt to change and it's so simple. Throttle body injection with lots of room to access spark plugs and everything else. Alternator is at the top of the engine. Much nicer than the new vehicles.

My relatives have a 1992 Isuzu Rodeo (same drive train and chassis) and they have over 260k on the original engine and transmission. I've seen these trucks with over 350k miles. These are tough trucks if you take care of them. Just as good as a Toyota Tacoma Truck, Nissan, Ford Ranger. I'm selling to downsize to 1 vehicle. It's a tough decision but that's life.

Over $18,000 "Invested"

$10,000 Cash - 503.888.6967

Located in Portland, OR

Discount $1,000 without the Winch & Optima Battery
Discount $1,000 without the ARB Roof Tent
Discount $500 without the Thule Rack
* I'm going to part out the truck.

Wow, cool truck! And in a very Mad Max kind of way and I mean that in a very complimentary way. Good luck with the sale and that is one heck of a clean interior!

Just posted on eBay too.

Had the tires rotated today. These KM2s are exceptional tires. Hope someone can make good use of it.

My first 4X4 was an '88.5 with the 4 cylinder I bought new in December 88. Great truck, I still miss it. Good thing we are on opposite coasts. Good luck with your sale.

How is it on the highway? Mileage? Your thoughts on driving it cross country? Thanks

It drives very well. I've driven it to Canada (10hrs), Central Oregon several times (4hrs) and numerous mountain trips. I drive it 50+ miles per day. It has never broke down or failed to start. I'll be taking it to the mountain tomorrow to snowboard (drives very well in snow). It gets 16-17 mpg loaded with gear. Prior to the exo/rack it would get 18-20mpg. It would be a blast to drive it across country. I was planning several multi-state trips for it this year.

I'll have the fluids changed and trip ready if you decided to make the voyage.

I still have the Trooper I got from Peter (the seller) in 2003, and my kid will start driving it in a year or so. He's a straight forward guy who I wouldn't hesitate to purchase a vehicle from again. If only my wife wouldn't try to neuter me for bringing home a 4th vehicle...

Good luck, my friend!
