I've seen many questions asked by potential owners, and opinions given in response to the "Trooper vs. the Montero" debate over the years. Personally I've owned many of both vehicle and think they are all great. But I'm posting this link for those interested in seeing a side by side review of the older models that are now available cheaply on the used market today. It is an Australian production and the video is about 35 minutes long comparing the Jackaroo 3.2 to the Pajero 3.0, both Gasoline engines, which would be basically the same as the Trooper and Montero here in the US. I hope it might help someone pondering the differences. BTW......The last few minutes show the Jackaroo (Trooper) being pushed hard off road if you find the rest too boring to watch.

Here's another video you may find interesting..........Japanese off road training video showing the 1992 Isuzu Bighorn (Trooper) in different environments, sand, water, mud, snow, etc.....produced by Isuzu Motors Co. Also shows Amigo and RS model Bighorn near the end.
