Scored a nice 1994 E250 with lumber rack, futon, laminate floors and half way done. New tires in back. It will work nicely once I re insulate the roof and walls here are some pics

Good looking stealthy van, man.
Do you notice any wind noise with that rack? I've been thinking about getting that rack because of the roller on the back.

none, its a van in Alaska I figure wind noise is just background noise, Just happy to be able to toss kayak on it and have fun next summer

Making my list of parts , need to insulate the walls and roof. Make a decision on floor plan/cabinet configuration and finally want to upgrade seats and add swivel to passenger seat

My last one was literally running in the driveway of the guy i was buying it from when it started puking fluids from underneath. and making a ping/knock . Money hadn't changed hands yet so I walked away

So can anyone lend me some knowledge? I'm hearing alot of noise about re-insulating my van and how reflectix doesn't work etc. I'm in an odd climate I agree. I'm looking for someone in the PNW or a cold climate state to lend me some knowledge on insulation .

Modifications to start Phase 1.

Replace fill gooseneck rubber hose (dry rot)
Replace windshield wipers. (done)
Planning- Remove all insulation and siding then scrub and herculine floor

I like reflectix just fine. I also use ensolite, and harbor freight puzzle flooring (the dark grey one in the four-pack) for insulation.
Granted, I'm in a desert environment but I've seen all the above materials on PNW rigs....

Thats a great build but it's way out of my skill and money level. I'm a plumber not a wood worker. We also don't have harbor freight and they don't ship here. The walls and insulation are holding me up. taking the first step is a pain

Luan is cheap. Insulation can always be ripped out and redone.
Get some reflectix and some spray 90 adhesive. Add some type of puzzle flooring on top of that. Cover it with luan. You can upholster the luan with cheap speaker carpet and more spray 90.
It's not that difficult for someone with even modest skills.
You can even make cardboard templates before you cut the luan (I just buy extra to use for templates, I prefer the stiffness)....

Well its home from it's check up and this is sorta the beginning of a build thread. So far after check up we replaced the following

* Right inside tie rod end , was totally shot
*Ignition cylinder
*fill gooseneck
*tightened rear brakes
*flushed coolant and oil change
*replaced bad combination switch , now my wipers work and wiper pump shuts off properly

Needs (spring time)
*Clock spring busted so no horn , cruise
*shocks front and back

We also settled on a build pattern . Minus the 2 rear seats
