1995 E350 Blowing Fusible Link, Vehicle Loses All Power

Well its been a while so its about time I had another issue right? Went to drive to work today and after about a minute of idling the alternator normally kicks in and my volt gauge jumps up. Well today I could hear the engine load up a little but the volt gauge stayed low and the battery light came on. Thinking probably the alternator. Of course I am supposed to take it north this weekend, and I have NO clue what alternator is in this van. Go figure. Any ideas?

Sounds like the alternator is not doing it's job or something in the power feed is wrong. Did your isolator die?

Well I went to start it this evening and it was charging again. Pulled the alternator, believe it's a Mitsubishi unit. Don't have an isolator as far as I can tell. Nothing indicating it does and have never seen it.

Figure it's the voltage regulator going bad.
