2006 Rally Course Champion: Expedition Trophy
Classic Suzuki Sidekick JLX Sport, 1996, 4wd, AT with just over 140,000 original miles. Adult driven since my brother purchased it in 1996, then little-old-lady driven by my mother, yes, to church on Sunday's, and a few other places. When she recently stopped driving, just short of her 88th birthday, she gave it to my daughter (and me) in January 2019, making us the third owner. But my daughter is 14 and my 4Runner was totaled a month later, when someone turned left into me. I've been driving it daily since and it is an amazing vehicle, especially given its age. Alas, it is a bit small for a family of four and I need to replace my 4Runner, then we'll figure out what my daughter can drive in two years. So, this little gem is for sale, it would make a great first car for a teen, great inexpensive off road toy (the 4wd in these is amazing (I've owned three of them)) or just a great little commuter. Everything works, AC blows nice and cold and it's reliable. The only known problems are: ABS light is on (sensor got damaged when transported from my brother's house in Canada to my mom here in Tucson), valve cover gasket seeps a bit of oil (have the gasket) but it doesn't lose oil between changes, and a couple spots of rust above the rear tailgate. Clean inside and out, paint is generally good and windows are tinted.

While the 4wd in these little machines is killer, this one has never been off-road. My brother and his wife aren't the rough and tumble kind, nor is grandma. I haven't had it long enough to put it through it's paces - but if I were keeping it, Old Man Emu would come to the rescue as would some nice tires. Speaking of which, the tires are nearly new Kuhmo's (my mom put less than 3,000 miles on the car in the last three years.) It has been well maintained by my anal brother and mom has taken care of any problem that may have arisen.

Located in Tucson, AZ and asking 2900. Don't think you could find a much cleaner, cheaper starting point for a small expedition vehicle. Gets 20mpg in town, probably more on the highway. I added the double-din, bluetooth capable, iPod compatible touch screen - it will stay in the car for the asking price.
